Important Update:
Construction has reached a milestone on Franklin Avenue, between NE Fourth and NE Eighth streets, and the roadway is now OPEN to traffic.
FRANKLIN AVENUE WORK CONTINUES
Design work continues for NE Franklin Avenue from Harriman Street to NE Fourth Street. Construction is expected to begin on Franklin Avenue between NE First Street and NE Fourth Street in February. Sign up to receive email project updates.

The NE Franklin Avenue Corridor Project will reduce conflict points and calm traffic to improve safety for all users.
To increase efficiency, NE Franklin Avenue, between Fifth and Eighth streets, a portion of the Bend Bikeway Project was constructed as part of the Midtown Crossings Project. Work continues for NE Franklin Avenue from Harriman Street to Fifth Street.
Franklin Avenue – Fourth Street to Eighth Street
Construction is complete on this segment for the season. Crews will return in spring 2026 to finish landscaping as well as potential pavement resurfacing of the road. Franklin Avenue – Harriman Avenue to Fourth Street
As part of the the Midtown Crossings Project, design work continues on this portion of the project to make walking, biking and rolling safer and more convenient on Franklin Avenue from Harriman Street to Fifth Street. Anticipated improvements to sidewalks and bike lanes, lighting, landscaping, water infrastructure, stormwater management, fencing or railing, painting and upgraded signs between Harriman Avenue and NE Fourth Street.
