Why Is There So Much Construction?
In 2020, voters sent a strong message by approving the Transportation GO Bond: community members want a safer, better transportation system. We understand that the reality of getting there can be frustrating, and that it often feels like road construction in Bend is never-ending.
To deliver on this goal, you may notice an increase in construction activity around Bend this summer. The map below shows where weāre currently working, and the locations of upcoming projects.
Thank you for your patience as we make key upgrades that will lead to safer roads, improved infrastructure and a more connected community.

Guiding Construction, Growth and Development in Bend
Growth and development in Bend donāt just happen by chance. They are guided and articulated through the Bend Comprehensive Plan and Infrastructure Master Plans and governed by the Bend Development Code and our Design Standards and Construction Specifications. These tools work together to ensure Bendās growth and development are well-planned, sustainable and in line with the communityās vision and goals.
