IMPORTANT: If you choose this option, you will make a written appearance and waive your right to a trial. The court may consider your written statement when establishing the fine/penalty amount.
How do I Contest?
If you feel that you have received a parking citation in error, you should follow the directions on the back of your citation.
CONTEST THE CITATION IN WRITING
Submit a letter contesting the citation stating whether you are requesting that your trial be in person or in writing. The Court will notify you of the date and time for your in-person trial or the date that your declaration must be returned to court for your trial in writing.

But I Have a Permit
If you have a monthly parking permit and you received a parking citation because the permit was not visible to the parking enforcement officers, you may present your permit and the citation to the staff at Diamond Parking. Monthly permit holders may be able to have the citation dismissed in cases where individuals failed to display their parking permits.
What if I Don't Pay?
You have 10 days to pay your citation or you can contest the citation in writing or in person to the Bend Municipal Court by the date on your citation. If you do not do either, the registered owner of the vehicle will receive a letter from the Court. If the Court does not receive a response to the letter from the Court, the citation will be sent to collections, with additional fees added.
