Be WaterWise... Water isn't all you'll save

Did you know that our storm drains either drain directly to the Deschutes River or into the ground, most often without treatment? Storm drains do not drain into the sanitary sewer. Therefore, whatever goes into the storm drain either goes directly to surface waters or into the ground towards our drinking water aquifers.

It's all connected. So please do not place anything in storm drains that you would not want to swim in or drink.  An easy way to remember is to think: "Only rain in the storm drain."

And if you do see evidence of a spill or trash or dumping in the storm drain, please let us know by calling
(541) 317-3000.
