Records is a high functioning team
This Division is responsible for processing, controlling, maintaining, and retrieving all reports and citations. They assist officers in researching computer records and answer a majority of phone calls coming into the police department to ensure our customers are connected to the appropriate person.
This team is extremely organized and capable of answering almost any question. Our community, as well as our police officers, depend on the records staff to ensure quality record-keeping, accurate information and friendly service.
One of the many responsibilities of our records staff is to ensure accurate entry and proper retrieval of computerized information. The Bend Police Department regularly enters and uses information from the National Crime Information Center and the state Law Enforcement Data System.
