2015 - 2025 Strategic Implementation Plan for Walking and Biking Infrastructure

The initial work on this plan began in 2013.  The City worked collaboratively with a subcommittee of the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee and the Deschutes County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee to review existing bicycling and walking infrastructure throughout Bend and develop an approach to implementing system upgrades.  The subcommittee prioritized system-wide areas of safety mitigation; identified design upgrades to encourage increased levels of active transportation for everyday needs; and prioritized the construction of key missing connections.  The findings of the review and strategic plan are documented in a final report and an executive summary report that provides direction for pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure priorities for the city of Bend.
