The Bend Fire Department strives to provide the public with resources they need to help provide the knowledge on safety and actions that can be taken to increase the safety for the individual and community as a whole. There are a wide variety of programs and events that happen throughout the year that provide that knowledge to everyone from school aged kids to seniors.

Wildfire Safety - information about safety, preparing yourself and your home, programs that can assist homeowners in getting rid of yard debris and much more. 

Smoke Alarms - FAQ's about smoke alarms, programs aimed at ensuring everyone has a working smoke alarm in their home and general reference information

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Smoke Alarms - For those with hearing limitations, finding a smoke alarm that will alert them to a fire can be a challenge. Find information on alarms and FAQ's to help ensure you are safe from the threat of fire in your home.

Flameless Candle Program - Our goal is to reduce the risk of fires started by candles by providing battery operated candles for rent, for free, to anyone in our community.
