Development or alteration within the Waterway Overlay Zone (WOZ) and sub-zones requires additional review.
All land use development within the WOZ and sub-zones requires review, including new home construction; additions and alterations to existing sheds, docks, exterior stairs; landscaping or grading; tree removal; exterior lighting; and alteration of open space.
LOCATE PROPERTIES WITHIN THE WOZ
Use the General City Map to determine the boundaries of the Waterway Overlay Zone and other Deschutes River zones which require land use review. From the Layers tab, check mark Permits and Land Use as well as the following sub-zones: ASI - River; Floodplain; Riparian Corridor; Waterway Overlay; State Scenic Waterway.
