The City of Bend Building Safety Division sets the standard with 100% 'Paperless' plan submittal and permit issuance.
Hand drawn construction documents are accepted, but will be scanned and reviewed electronically. All electronically produced submittal data is required to be submitted in an electronic media format.
If you have used ePlans before, you can log in anytime by clicking here. Otherwise, please follow the steps below.

|Step 1||Simply complete the Application. Please ensure your application is filled out completely including all information in the Structure/Valuation Information and electronic signature fields.|
|Step 2||Email your completed Application (do not send plans at this time, only the completed application) to: firstname.lastname@example.org|
Your application will be verified for completeness; if complete and a plan review is required you will receive an automated notice and invitation to ePlans. If incomplete or no plan review is required, you will receive an email response from a Permit Technician. Our goal is to enter your application within 4 business hours but on occasion this may take up to 6 business hours. If you have not received a response within 6 business hours please email email@example.com to inquire about the status.

Upload your plans following the instructions available on the ePlans invitation that will be sent to you.

We have implemented this requirement in order to allow for high efficiency for technical and administrative staff pertaining to the routing, storage and archiving of this data; longer retention of documents for historical data research; cost efficiencies for customers in eliminating the need to print multiple copies of plan documents; time savings for customers as they will spend less time in our office and more time in theirs.
