City Council meetings are held at the City of Bend Council Chambers in City Hall, located at 710 NW Wall Street in Downtown Bend. You can join us in person or virtually. Virtual participation information is found on each agenda linked on this page or tune in to COTV Channel 11 on meeting days.

Attending a Council Meeting

We invite all community members to attend our City Council meetings. Your participation is important to us because it ensures that the voices representing the City of Bend are heard. By joining us, you contribute to shaping the future of our community and ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered in decision-making. If you’re hoping to address City Council at the meeting, please review the Visitor’s Section information below: it will give you an idea of what to expect, and sign-up instructions.

Meeting Schedule & Information

Business Meeting

• When: First and Third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted
• Where: City of Bend Council Chambers, City Hall, 710 NW Wall Street.
• Start time: 6 p.m.
• Agenda: Posted below, a week prior to the meeting, under "Upcoming Council Meetings."
• How to Join: Attend in person or virtually. Virtual participation information is found on the meeting agenda.
• Visitor's Section (Public Comment): See instructions below.
• Executive Sessions: When scheduled, executive sessions will occur prior to the start of the business meeting. This will be noted on the City of Bend Calendar, "Upcoming Council Meetings" and on the meeting's agenda 

Work Session: 

• When: Second and Fourth Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted
• Where: City of Bend Council Chambers, City Hall, 710 NW Wall Street.
• Time: 4-6 p.m.
• Agenda: Posted a week prior to the meeting under "Upcoming Council Meetings".
• How to Join: Attend in person or virtually. Virtual participation information is found on the meeting agenda.
• There is no opportunity for public comment during at the Work Session

Broadcast Information

Live Broadcast: Meetings are broadcast live on Zoom and on COTV Channel 11 starting at 6 p.m. Links for the Zoom and YouTube broadcast included on the meeting agenda, which is posted below under "Upcoming Council Meetings" a week prior to the meeting

Visitor's Section (Public Comment)

The community is invited to attend any public meeting; however, public comment ("visitor's section") does not occur at every public meeting. City Council Business meetings will include a Visitor's Section, which is a time for the public to give public comment. The Work Sessions do not include a time for public comment. Please check the meeting's agenda to determine whether Visitor's Section will occur at the meeting.

• Community Participation: At the beginning of each business meeting, there is a Visitor’s Section where community members can speak.
• To participate in person: sign up prior to the meeting's start time (6 p.m.) on sign-up sheets located just outside of Council Chambers. Sign-up sheets are available starting at 5:30 p.m.
• To participate virtually: sign up before the meeting begins at 6 p.m. using the link at the top of the agenda.
• Time: Each speaker is allotted 2 minutes, unless otherwise noted at the meeting. 
• This is a time for the Council to listen, not to engage in dialogue or answer questions.
• No public comments can be made during Work Sessions Meetings.
• Group Representation: If you are part of a large group, please designate one spokesperson to speak on behalf of the group

Additional meetings are gatherings dedicated to specific and important topics outside of regular Council meetings. Example: joint meetings with non-City agencies, or Council Meetings held in locations other than Council Chambers.
