The City of Bend has teamed up with WaterSmart software, which connects to your existing account and displays your meter data in helpful reports, to give our Water Services customers easy access to water usage information and more.

By registering your City Water Services account, you can monitor your daily water use, track and manage your water bills, compare your use with similar households, and receive alerts about potential leaks. This page will walk you through the simple steps to get started and highlight the benefits of using WaterSmart to manage your water consumption effectively.

Get Started in Three Simple Steps

  1. Access
  2. Register
    • Enter your City of Bend Water Services account number (without any leading zeros) and your zip code to connect to your WaterSmart account. You’ll find your account number in the upper right corner of your bill, usually in this format: ###### – ######.
  3. Personalize
    • Answer a few quick survey questions to make your account page just right for you.

*Note: You’ll need your City of Bend water statement to access your WaterSmart account. Make sure your first water statement is generated before you try to log in.

How WaterSmart Can Help

WaterSmart is a fantastic tool to help you keep an eye on your water use. Here’s what you can do with it:

  • Set Up Alerts: Get text or email alerts if your water use suddenly spikes or if there’s constant consumption – a slower ongoing leak.
  • Troubleshoot Leaks: Check if a leak has stopped while you’re fixing it. This is super handy when our office is closed (like after hours, weekends, and holidays).
  • Track Your Conservation Efforts: See if your efforts to save water are working. Compare this year’s usage with last year’s to see the impact of changes like new habits or energy-efficient appliances.
  • Apply for Rebates: Use the app to apply for rebates on indoor and outdoor devices that will save even more water.
  • Know Your Water Score: Find out how your water use stacks up against similar properties in Bend. Fill out a quick survey to see the average water use for households like yours.
  • Check Sprinkler System Usage: Make sure you’re not over-watering by checking how much water your sprinkler system uses.
