Large Landscape Program
The Large Landscape Program helps owners of large landscapes (one acre or more) manage their irrigation systems better. Large Landscape customers may include schools, businesses, community centers, parks, HOAs and more. It provides our customers with expert advice and water use information.
A personalized way to use less water in big landscapes, save money on utility bills, and have healthier, more water-efficient gardens.
Determine Eligibility
To join the program, your property needs to be at least an acre or more and you must be a City of Bend water services customer. Typical participants include City-owned landscapes, schools, parks, homeowners associations* and churches.
*Homeowners association participants should coordinate with their board of directors.
What to Expect
Landscape owners will meet with WaterWise Program staff to evaluate outdoor water use, inspect irrigation systems, create detailed irrigation water budgets, track actual water use versus the water budget, and find the most cost-effective ways to improve water efficiency. This leads to reduced water use, lower utility bills, and a healthier, more water-efficient landscape.
How to Apply
Landscape and irrigation contractors or owners of one acre or more landscapes interested in the Large Landscape Program should contact the WaterWise Program at 541-317-3000, ext. 2 or conservation@bendoregon.gov. Our staff will be happy to review your landscape and discuss a customized approach.
