Redesigning the parking lot will address the existing deficiencies and better tailor the facility for parking use, business service, and to deter other uses that are not intended for this area.

There are a number of deficiencies, both functional and condition related, with the existing parking lot.  In addition, the South Mirror Pond Parking Lot has become a popular gathering place for unintended and unwanted uses. Specific locations in the parking lot have confirmed criminal activity. This poses a number of safety concerns, as well as detracts from the overall intended use of this public parking area.
