Weekly Road and Traffic Report for the Week of November 3-9

For the Week of November 3-9:

  • Dia de Muertos (special event) - occurring November 7, 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Full road closure with detour:
    • NW Minnesota Avenue between NW Bond Street and NW Lava Road.

  • Intersection of NE Bear Creek Road and NE Purcell Boulevard for infrastructure improvements related to private development (not associated with completed City project), west and northbound closures, begins October 21.

  • Magnolia Lane between Hearthstone Lane and Ferguson Road will have infrastructure improvements, full road closure with local access only, October 6 – December 19.
     
  • Butler Market Corridor ImprovementsThis project includes the design and construction of a new single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Butler Market Road and Wells Acres Road, along with pedestrian and bicycle improvements on Butler Market Road between Boyd Acres Road and Brinson Boulevard. Construction is anticipated to begin on September 22 and continue through late fall 2026.
    • Butler Market Road, between NE Brinson Boulevard and NE 8th Street, will experience a westbound lane closure with a detour in place.

  • Granite Drive from Ponderosa Street and Poplar Street for sewer infrastructure work, full street closure with detour, October 27 – November 7.

  • Franklin Avenue between NE 4th Street and NE 8th Street for corridor improvements. Westbound lane closure with detour, week of November 3 - December 2025.

  • Olney Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements –This project is installing critical water & sewer pipe upgrades as well as transportation safety improvements along Olney Avenue. For more information.     • lney Avenue (east of NW Wall Street to NE Second Street) will remain closed through Fall 2025.
  • NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse, full road closure, began July 24, 2024.

Future Road Closures:

  • Veteran’s Day Parade (special event) – Parade will have various road closures in and around downtown (listed below). The event will occur Tuesday, November 11.
    • NW Wall Street between NW Newport Avenue and NW Franklin Ave.
    • NW Riverside Boulevard between NW Wall Street and NW Galveston Avenue.
    • NW Galveston Avenue between NW Tumalo Avenue and NW Harmon Boulevard.
    • NW Harmon Boulevard between NW Galveston Avenue and NW Newport Avenue.
    • NW Newport Avenue between NW Harmon Boulevard and NW Wall Street.


Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Always exercise increased caution within construction zones. Drivers should use designated detour routes. Nearby residential streets are for local traffic only.

 

Any road closure not listed within this report, please submit a service request to notify the city of any potentially unpermitted work within City right of way. Please visit the Transportation and Mobility Department to submit.
