FAQs

The Desert Woods and Neighborhood Extension Project (NEP) is the first construction phase of the Septic to Sewer Conversion Program. This project includes installing gravity sewer mains on Desert Woods Drive, King Solomon Court, King Hezekiah Way, Greenmont Drive, 15th Street, Hollis Lane, and within the Nottingham Square Subdivision. The City will also decommission two pump stations (Nottingham No. 1 and Simplicity).

This project is funded by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF).

PROJECT UPDATES

Desert Woods Drive and King Hezekiah Way - Segment 1 (COMPLETE)

Segment 1, located on a portion of Desert Woods Drive and King Hezekiah Way, pictured below, is substantially complete.  Property owners on Segment 1 were issued a Notice of Operational Completion (NOC) in the mail on April 27, 2020. Property owners can connect to public sewer.

Desert Woods Drive - Segment 2 (IN CONSTRUCTION)

Segment 2, located on Desert Woods Drive between Greenmont Drive and 15th Street, pictured below, is in construction and anticipated to be complete by mid-June 2020. For information regarding schedule, traffic detours, and what to expect during construction, see the Segment 2 Construction Facts Sheet.

Property owners on Segment 2 will be issued a Notice of Operational Completion (NOC) in the mail when the sewer is active and ready to be discharged to. Property owners will not be permitted to connect to the sewer before the City issues the NOC.

King Solomon Court - Segment 3 (IN CONSTRUCTION)

Property owners directly affected by the upcoming first phase of the Desert Woods and Neighborhood Extension Project construction are invited to an open house to learn more about this project, scheduled to begin in January 2020.

  • Tentative Notice of Operational Completion Issuance
  • Stub-out locations - locations at your home will be staked with green flagging near the right-of-way at your property in advance of this meeting. Please come prepared to discuss yours.
