Keep up-to-date on weekly closures and detour routes during peak construction season.


During peak construction season—typically April through October—we send out weekly road and traffic reports each Friday to help members of our community plan the quickest, safest and most reliable routes to their destinations. The weekly report is intended to provide information about various projects within City limits that impact the roadways.

The map below shows lane and road closures on arterials and collectors and full closures on residential streets.

Special Events:

  • Deschutes Brewery 30th Anniversary, June 30 – July 1 from 8 a.m. – 8 a.m., Riverside Boulevard closed between Broadway Street and Tumalo Avenue with detour in place.

  • July 4th Festival and Pet Parade, July 4 from 9:15 a.m. – 12 p.m., and will close the following streets:

    • Wall Street between Oregon Avenue and Louisiana Avenue

    • Louisiana Avenue between Wall Street and Bond Street

    • Bond Street between Louisiana Avenue and Franklin Avenue

    • Franklin Avenue between Bond Street and Lava Road

    • Lava Road between Franklin Avenue and Minnesota Avenue

    • Minnesota Avenue between Lava Road and Bond Street

    • Bond Street between Minnesota Avenue and Oregon Avenue

    • Oregon Avenue between Bond Street and Wall Street

    • Riverside Boulevard between Tumalo Avenue and Broadway Street, 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

 

For the week of July 2 – 8

  • Brookswood Boulevard at intersection with Porcupine Drive for paving and striping, northbound lane closure with flaggers, expect lane shifts and delays during construction, 6/26/18 – 6/27/18, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

  • 14th Street between Simpson Avenue and Knoll Avenue for bus shelter installations, lane closures with flaggers, 6/28/18 – 6/29/18, night work from 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.

 

14th Street:

  • 14th Street between Galveston Avenue and Newport Avenue for work on the 14th Street Reconstruction Project, full road closure (southbound and northbound lanes) with detours in place, beginning July 2. For project and detour info: www.bendoregon.gov/14thstreeet.

 

Roosevelt Avenue Water Main Replacement Project, Phase 2:

 

City of Bend Street Preservation:

  • Horizon Drive, Welcome Court, and Starview Drive for chip seal restoration, lane closures with flaggers, 7/2/18, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Other Ongoing Closures:

  • Rumgay Lane between Butler Market Road and Quiet Canyon Drive for utilities installation, curbs, and paving, road and lane closures, local access only, 6/11/18 – 7/13/18.

  • Egypt Drive between 18th Street and Ranch Village Drive for City of Bend Egypt Water Line Project, road and lane closures, 6/15/18 – 8/26/18.

    • Access to Rockridge Park will be maintained on the east side of Egypt Drive.

 

Upcoming Closures:

  • Logsden Street between Woodland Boulevard and Glenwood Drive for railroad crossing paving work, road closure with detour, 7/9/18 – 7/13/18, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

  • Scott Street between Highway 97 ramp and Aune Street for asphalt paving work, single lane closures with flaggers, 7/10/18 – 7/13/18, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors.
