Citywide Accessibility Improvement Projects
Design, construction, or repair of curb ramps and sidewalks, including those identified through the City’s Barrier Removal Request process.
Project Status
Through the help of dedicated volunteers on the City of Bend Accessibility Advisory Committee (COBAAC) and the Central Oregon Coalition for Access (COCA), key corridors and neighborhoods across the city have been prioritized for accessibility improvements.
Recent Projects

Project Scope
Sidewalk and curb ramps will be constructed in along Hollygrape Street between Princeton Loop and Gorge View Street, an area where they have long been missing. Preliminary design is complete and construction will be scheduled in two phases with estimated completion within the next year. The preliminary design is available below. Improvements include the following:
- 4 curb ramps
- 445 feet of sidewalk
- 2 concrete driveways

Project Scope
Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements along NW Riverside Boulevard, between NW Hood Place and NW Gilchrist Avenue/NW Shasta Place, that was completed as part of a synergy project with a planned sewer pump station replacement.

New curb ramps and curb extension for safety on the northwest corner of the intersection of NW Broadway Street and NW Delaware Avenue. The whiteboard and yellow level shown in the curb ramp was for inspection purposes.
