Project Turnkey

  • NeighborImpact and the City applied for a State grant to acquire a motel for non-congregate shelter.

  • To meet the grant requirement and deadline, the City will be proposing development code changes to remove 1,000 ft separation and to allow temporary housing as permitted use in some Commercial Zones, as well as the Bend Central District west of Third Street.

  • Neighbors can participate on March 8 during the Planning Commission Public Hearing, on March 17 during the City Council Public Hearing and First Reading, and on April 7 during City Council Second Reading.

  • If grant funding is approved, the City would own the land and property while NeighborImpact would manage and operate the shelter.
