ALL DEBRIS BURNING IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
This includes the use of weed burners, burn barrels, field burns.

With fire season approaching, debris burning in the rural district closed on May 31st. Debris burning is banned year round within the city limits of Bend. Check with your local fire agency for their specific rules on burning if you live outside the Bend area.

Certain fires (campfires, warming fires, cooking fires) are still allowed during the summer as long as you follow the current version of Bend Fire Department's burning regulations. Pick one at any Bend fire station or click here to download a copy.

Burning will reopen in the fall once the weather cools and we've received enough wetting rain to lessen the threat of wildfire.

AS OF AUGUST 11, 2017, ALL CAMPFIRES AND WARMING FIRES ARE BANNED THROUGHOUT CENTRAL OREGON, INCLUDING HERE IN BEND.
The Central Oregon Fire Chiefs have asked everyone to refrain from having campfires and warming fires in these extreme fire conditions. Propane and Natural Gas fires pits are still allowed. Contact your local fire department for more information.
