Neighborhood Stabilization General Information

Neighorhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds are no longer available due to the expiration of the program on March 7, 2014.  Since 2010, the City of Bend has allocated funding which assisted eligible buyers with down payment, closing and repair funds, for the purchase of foreclosed and short sale properties.  The program included residential properties in the tri-county area and in Bend, and assisted eligible individuals and families, as well as non-profits that provide housing for low to moderate income individuals and families.

Over the years, the City of Bend has allocated several million dollars of NSP funding, in no interest, deferred payment loans.  The NSP funds were made available to commuities hard hit with foreclosures, for the purpose of stabilizing neighborhoods by increasing  homeowner occupancy.
